Ben grew up in Cleveland,
Ohio where he received his instruction in both band and
choir, during high school. He attended the University of
Michigan in 2001, and despite being an engineering major at
the time, he immediately became involved with the Michigan
Marching Band and Men's Glee Club. In his second year, Ben
joined a co-ed acappella group, the Dicks & Janes, and
realized that he was better suited for music education. He
received his Bachelor's of Music in 2006 and joined the
staff of Haslett Public Schools, shortly thereafter. For the
past 2 years, Ben taught high school and middle school
choirs in addition to second and third grade general music,
a combination of ages that proved to be highly rewarding.
Ben looks forward to the improving his
students knowledge and appreciation of music and the
continuation of his career here at Grosse Pointe North!!!
